YouTube MSG Part 2

4 12 2007

I have no idea how the people who put this video together did it. I’m very content to just go, “Ooooh, those are some fancy special effects for a homemade video.” It’s a Matrix parody, and it’s pretty nifty.

The YouTube Med Student Generation

In what will (I hope) be a continuing weekly series, I will link to a great video on YouTube that is somehow relevant to the whole med student gig.

Today’s video is “StudyBack,” a parody of Justin Timberlake’s “SexyBack.” I thought it was funny and well done.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Wet, cold, rainy day. I’ve been freezing sincicee I first walked out of the apartment this morning. Most of this can be attributed to the fact that I resist wearing a true winter coat as long as is remotely possible, but I expected to warm up once I got home and changed into warm, dry, fluffy sweats. But I didn’t.

Fortunately, amongst the various junk left here by the previous asshole renter (thanks, dude), there was a thermometer. So I am able to quantify my suffering. It’s 60 degrees Fahrenheit in my bedroom as I’m sitting here typing away. I shudder to imagine what it will be like once it actually gets cold. Methinks a post-holiday trip to the hardware store for some shrink-wrap window stuff is in order.

Hello world!

13 11 2007

I suppose that’s a good enough title for the first post.

For the moment, I will probably be mainly linking to stories that I find interesting. The diary-ing will probably get started next semester, which will be when I (hopefully) will start to feel like an actual medical student and not like some sixth-year senior in a biology degree.
